Taos, New Mexico Artistic Retreat
AIP takes yearly artistic retreats to a home near Deer Mesa in Taos, New Mexico, and we are planning to go back this June 2007.
The area has inspired so many aspects of our work. Our jewelry, sculpting, and clothes draw their energy from the land and sky. It drove April to her passion for photography.
The colors and tones of the homes of Tom Wheeler, Ed Sandoval and his wife Ann Houston influence much of our work. The copper in AIP pieces are from Tom Wheeler's studio. Melissa's bead work is from natural gemstones found in the area. Holiday Swing
Almost Impatient executed the table designs for this year's Holiday Swing, an annual benefit supporting "Project Transitions." We are always up for a challenge, especially when it supports one of our favorite local charities. The preperations for this table design included rolling 700 3ft pcs of bamboo and 300 limes in glue and glitter. Salon Keriz'ma had never sparkled so bright!
The Holiday Swing is always a great success and we were very proud to be a part of it. We hope to continue this new tradition in the years to come!
